End user computing at scale

The devices, identity, apps and security your people touch every day — designed as one environment, secured by default, and deployed across sites and hundreds of seats without a lost day. Mac and Windows side by side, on Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, managed in Intune, Jamf or both.

What we design, secure and deploy

Six layers, one environment. End user computing is the discipline of running them together, so that the person at the keyboard never has to think about the seams.

Workplace strategy

We study how your people actually work — roles, sites, devices, apps — and design an environment that removes friction instead of adding tools. Standards you can hire against and buy against.

Device management

Mac, Windows and mobile devices under one management approach. Zero-touch deployment with Apple Business Manager and Windows Autopilot; lifecycle management in Microsoft Intune, Jamf or Mosyle; a fleet that is known and current.

Identity and secure access

One identity for every app. Microsoft Entra ID or Okta, single sign-on, phishing-resistant multifactor authentication, and conditional access that trusts the device so it can stop interrupting the person.

Collaboration and productivity

Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace set up so teams create and ship together — Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive or the Google equivalents — migrated cleanly, with Copilot or Gemini where they earn their keep.

Endpoint security

Encryption, patching, Defender and policy on every device, the same for a Mac as for a Windows PC. Security your people never have to think about, and the reporting your insurer, your clients and your auditors ask for.

Adoption and support

Onboarding that works like a product launch, training that sticks, documentation your team will actually use, and a support model — yours, your provider’s or ours — that answers.

How a program runs

  1. Assess

Interviews with leaders and employees, an inventory of devices, identities and apps across sites, and a clear picture of what is slowing people down. You get a written assessment and a prioritized roadmap.

  2. Design

The target environment on the platforms you run — Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, Apple, Windows — with the management, identity and security decisions made and documented before anything is built.

  3. Deploy

Staged rollout by site or department, zero-touch wherever possible. New devices arrive ready to work; existing ones are migrated without a day lost; the old environment is retired on a date, not forgotten.

  4. Adopt and operate

Training, a one-page guide for every change, and a support path people trust. We measure onboarding time, tickets and satisfaction, and hand the environment over documented — or keep running it with you.

What you get

Productive from day one

A new hire at any site opens the box, signs in once, and has every app, file and policy they need. No imaging bench, no waiting on IT.

Fewer tickets, less friction

When identity, devices and apps are designed together, the everyday interruptions disappear — and so do most of the support requests.

Security you can prove

Encryption, compliance and access policy applied by default across the fleet, with the reports to show your board, your insurer and your clients.

Who it’s for
  • Mid-size organizations with a fleet across several sites and an environment that grew one decision at a time.
  • Companies running Mac and Windows side by side, or about to, that want both to feel native.
  • Firms with confidentiality and compliance obligations — financial services, healthcare, legal, engineering, consulting.
  • Organizations merging two environments after an acquisition, or onboarding people faster than IT can keep up.

Frequently asked questions

Do we have to standardize on one platform?
No. Most of our clients run Mac and Windows together. We design the environment so both feel native — one identity, one management approach, one set of policies — on Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.
Can you work with our IT team or provider?
Yes. We usually design and lead the program while your team or managed service provider keeps running day-to-day support. We’re clear about who owns what from the first week.
How long does it take?
An assessment takes a few weeks. Design and deployment depend on your size and how much changes; we scope it in phases, by site or department, so you see value early and can stop at any one of them.
Do you supply the hardware?
We can. AvantCIO is an Apple Authorized Reseller and can supply Mac computers, iPad and AppleCare as part of the program, and we’ll plan the refresh of the oldest devices when the numbers support it. We’ll also tell you when the devices you already own are enough.
What does “end user computing” actually cover?
Everything between the person and the data centre or the cloud — the computer, the sign-in, the apps, the security on the device and the support. It is the discipline this program is built on, and the reason the six layers above are designed together rather than bought separately.
